Founders, Kelly and Kathleen having a laugh in Joshua Tree

PM-EZ was born from a simple yet powerful idea: project management is too useful to be trapped in the corporate world. As a low-profit organization, we’re on a mission to show that, when simplified, project management is approachable, impactful and transformative for regular people.

We’re a mother-daughter team who’ve spent years using these practices professionally—and in our personal lives. From planning family adventures to tackling community projects or simply keeping everything on track, we’ve seen firsthand how these tools can make life easier and less stressful.

After years of leading projects in technology and nonprofits—and hearing countless stories from people struggling to bring their ideas to life—we got tired of seeing how few knew about or used these practical approaches outside big companies. That’s why we created PMEZ.

We stripped out the jargon and tossed aside the overly complex techniques to create three accessible, easy-to-use guides:

  • Hacks practical strategies for handling everyday challenges..
  • Playbook a step-by-step guide for turning big ideas into reality.
  • Roadmap a clear path for applying project management concepts at work.

Since 2020 we have been sharing and teaching these ideas to regular people. Our goal is simple: to help people reduce stress, navigate chaos and bring their ideas to life—making PM EZ.

Hi, I’m Kathleen, an ex-technology professional with 35 years of experience at Nokia, where I transformed leading-edge concepts ideas into usable solutions. Along the way, I discovered my passion for not only making ideas a reality but teaching others how to do the same and not stress-out.

Now, through PM-EZ, I combine my expertise in project management, technology and education to help everyday people tackle challenges with confidence. I love speaking to groups of all sizes, sharing practical tools and insights that anyone can use to bring their ideas to life.

When I’m not teaching or presenting, you’ll find me outdoors—hiking, kayaking and drawing inspiration from nature’s balance and resilience.

To learn about my education, certifications and career experience, check out my LinkedIn profile.

And I’m Kelly, a program lead at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine, where manage grants and initiatives that drive meaningful impact. With years of experience in nonprofits and a knack for organizing complex projects, I’ve also used my project management skills to support local theater productions—helping creative visions come to life behind the scenes.

When I’m not at work, you’ll find me outdoors— climbing, skiing, or camping. Nature is where I recharge and find perspective, much like the focus I bring to the projects I manage.

I’m passionate about making things happen—whether on the stage, in the wilderness, or in the community—and I believe that a little structure and a lot of heart can make even the toughest challenges more manageable.
