Talks, workshops and guides to make progress under pressure

Booked by conferences, community groups, and organizations that want audiences to leave with tools they can use the same day.

I teach, speak, and write about practical ways to make progress under pressure, using simplified methods drawn from engineering and project management. I translate these complex fields into something people can actually use.

Before PMEZ, I spent 35+ years delivering innovative technology under real constraints: limited time, real tradeoffs, and plenty of opinions. Along the way I led high-stakes projects and earned formal certifications (PMP, PgMP). I now teach at the University of Vermont and run talks and workshops for groups that want practical tools to think clearly, decide well, and keep moving.

What I do now

    • Keynotes and workshops on thinking and acting under pressure
    • Teaching built for real-world constraints (time, budget, priorites)
    • Free plain-English guides through PMEZ

Topics I’m known for

    • Reframe Worries as Risks
    • Finish What Matters
    • Handle Strong Opinions, Without Getting Derailed

Credibility highlights

    • TEDx speaker
    • Instructor, University of Vermont
    • 35+ years in complex tech/program leadership roles
    • Certifications: PMP, PgMP
    • PMEZ founder
